Good to know
- Rain and snow need a verb in Turkish, (to fall from the sky): (It’s raining.) (It’s snowing.)
- There’s no “it” in Turkish weather sentences: does the job. means “It’s hot.”
- Say how you feel with a verb, not with : means “I’m cold.” Saying “I am cold” word for word sounds odd to Turks.
- The weather is the classic way to start a chat. For more small talk, see Turkish greetings and days, months and time.
